Woorak House
Rockcote
Context & Brief:
Rockcote commissioned WildAcre Studio to tell the design story of Woorak House.
Our Response:
Megan Burns from CM Studio tells her journey of creating a place that embraces the vernacular of the local area and a home that cultivates a casual beach focused lifestyle. Through a combination of wide and tight shots, the film focuses on the many shapes, textures and materials throughout the home. The film visualizes the relationship the home has with its surrounding landscape, including shots of the wind billowing sheer curtains, pocketing doors to create a seamless connection between the interior and exterior, and the quality of light passing through the many windows throughout the pavilions.
Outcome:
The film was extremely well received by both Rockcote and CM studio. It has been shared by online publications, across social media, Rockcote’s website and has led to the commission of future design films for Rockcote.
